For the month of January, Wahconah’s in-house chemist Mr. Pegorari won the iBerkshires Teacher of the Month award. His entertaining and interactive lessons keep students engaged and interested in what they are learning day in and day out, a difficult feat in today’s world. When asked about him and his lessons, students say that even with a difficult subject such as chemistry, Mr. Pegorari helps students to understand and work through any problem. Others say that they always know his classroom is a positive environment, and there is always help when needed.

But Mr. Pegorari is an important figure for students at Wahconah beyond his chemistry classes. Students say that he is a huge support system for many, and others say that his lessons often go beyond the classroom and are applicable to many facets of life. The connection he has with his students also extends to coaching the quiz team, as well as being the cross country coach for eleven years. 

Mr. Pegorari’s wonderful lessons and deep connections with students has rightfully earned him the award for iBerkshires’ Teacher of the Month.
