The movie “Hoppers,” is a brand new 2026 Pixar Animations movie. It recently came to theaters gaining a decently sized audience mainly consisting of children. It has received mixed rating; some are very positive and others were not big fans of it.
The film is about a younger girl named Maeve, who was an environmental activist that cared severely for animals. She is faced with many challenges, but the major conflict of the story is the cities mayor is putting a highway through a pond full of wildlife. One of Maeve’s professors creates an invention called a “Hopper.” This allowed someone to switch their brain into a realistic, robotic animal. Maeve uses this invention to turn into a robotic beaver to try and bring wildlife back to the pond. While doing this, she creates animal friends, and takes on many adventures.
In an attempt to save the animals of the pond, Maeve accidentally starts an animal uprising against the mayor of the town who was pushing the animals out. This was not how she meant to fix the issue, and the movie shows her journey of fixing things and getting justice for the animals in a peaceful way.
Overall, the story portrays many important morals that are beneficial for young children to learn. It teaches kids to help our environment, which is especially important today when climate change and environmental issues run rampant. It also shows them the importance of using their voices for what is right, and that they can solve issues with their voice instead of using violence.
