The 2025 Turkeyfest, put on by the class of 27’, was a hit. We had numerous acts from dance to comedy. The theme chosen was Saturday Night Live, or in our case, Wednesday Night Live. There were a lot of acts this year, so let’s quickly recap the evening.
Act One started with a Weekend Update skit, performed by juniors Ryan Falcone and Cy Hattaway. They really embodied the comedic spirit of Colin Jost and Michael Che. Next up, Kendall Bolduc (flute) and Artois Sancho (piano) gave us a beautiful cover of the song True Colors. Both musicians killed it on their respective instruments, and definitely brought a tear to the eyes of the audience. Caroline Vincelette and Bell Merhar performed a fantastic dance number from the movie Napoleon Dynamite. It was truly fantastic. The whole crowd got to their feet and just danced when juniors Grace Radzick, Elliana O’Leary, Sage Whitney, and Sadie Cullen got to the stage to perform the Waka Waka Just Dance. Definitely a highlight of the night. At the end of Act One, Lakely Millington sang “This Side of Paradise,” bringing us into intermission.
All of these acts were interspersed with fantastic musical performances from Wahconah’s very own Blood Type: Blue. They gave us covers of “Not the Doctor,” “The Distance,” and “Having a Blast.”
Sam Iovino sang a wonderful cover of “Oh, Holy Night”, leaving the audience speechless. Jace Dickhaus and Olive Kinedinst got us into the holiday spirit with “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” played on a bassoon and baritone sax. Next, Unari Karkabe-Ryan gave us a very interesting original comedy skit. Once again, Blood Type: Blue performances were interspersed in Act Two with “Down By the Water”, “Low Rider”, and “Mean St.” Matt Oakes performed the song “Stay Gold”, and Holland Slade brought us the classic “Country Roads”.
There was a lot of music, not only did Blood Type: Blue perform; with both bands, up and coming metal group; Shugmunky performed an epic Pantera cover. Holland Slade and Keegan Hubbard ended the night with an epic drum battle that blew everyone away.
A special thanks to John Williams, Brian Rabuse, the junior class advisors; Mr and Mrs Shannon, and of course to the Junior class for making this show possible. We can’t wait to see what the class of 28’ will do next year.
