The 2024 Wahconah Girls soccer team was filled with all-star players. The girls may not have had the best record this year, however they stayed positive without a doubt and gave it their all this season. Our amazing captains this year were seniors Edrie Collins, Kathryn Perrone, Marleigh White and Vienna Mahar. Additionally, we had two junior captains this year, Anna Doyle and Madison McCarthy.

The girls ended with a 2-14-1 record and were just barely edged out of Western Mass, but that doesn’t mean they didn’t have a fun time this year. One of the team’s favorite games was the win over Drury, senior goalie Edrie Collins was able to come out onto the field and play striker while junior goalie Paetyn Tatro was able to get some minutes. The team scored the most goals that game and many non-starters were able to come out onto the field and have fun. 

Statistically, our leading scorer was freshmen Brooke Harrington, followed by senior captain Kathryn Perrone. The team’s goalie Edrie Collins made over four hundred saves in her career as a whole over the three years she played goalie and made as many as 22 saves during a game at one point. However, this season shouldn’t be measured by the statistics, but rather by the effort put forth by all the girls on the team this year and the memories and laughs we all had together. This season was truly so fun for everyone on the team and we will all miss our stellar captains very much next year.
