20 year old Brayden Erbacher, was killed in Motocross Crash

A young motocross rider named Brayden Erbacher who was only twenty years old, was killed mid-competition of round one of the ProMX championship. On March 5th at 11am, Brayden’s life was taken from him in front of his family and friends after another rider hit him mid-jump and he suffered a severe head injury. It was reported that multiple bikes fell on the young rider after he hit the ground.

Brayden was loved and respected by everyone he knew, and no one would have anything bad to say about this young rider. Brayden’s best friend, James Beston, stated, “[He] would give [his] own shirt off [of his] back for anyone and always [did] whatever [he] could to help a mate out.” Brayden was treated immediately but was soon pronounced dead. Immediately after the incident, Motorcycling Australia called off the event and sent hundreds of spectators home. Brayden’s mother, Corinne, stated that she was “shattered beyond words” at the event. Brayden’s brother later stated in an Instagram post, “You were the best big brother and I looked up to you every single day. You guided me through life to this point, and for that I’ll always be grateful,” followed by, “I’ll forever be grateful for the time spent with you, you always were my No. 1 role model and the way you carried yourself through life is an inspiration to many … You’ll be missed dearly. You’ll always be my big bro.”

This tragic event has affected many people and Brayden Erbacher will be missed dearly by his family and friends. A go-fund-me page has been created for this young rider’s family and it has already reached over $28,000s. A trend for this rider has also been created known as #brapforbrayden where other riders across the country rev up their bikes to show respect and condolences to Brayden’s family.
