Hawaiian Airlines is one of the biggest commercial airlines to and from Hawaii. On Sunday, December 18th, families were going on vacation, people were on business trips, and students were heading home for the holidays. Just about 30 minutes before landing, one plane experienced horrible turbulence and 36 of the passengers were severely injured. There were head injuries, lacerations, bruising, and loss of consciousness. Some injuries were minor, while others had to be rushed to the emergency room after the plane had landed. Twenty people were taken to the emergency room, including a 14-month-old baby, while the less severe injuries were treated by doctors on site.
