Runaway is one of Ye’s most influential pieces. This song acknowledges the idea that most rappers can be womanizers. Ye also sings about all of the flaws in his personality and his way of living. He admits to his mistakes and how he has done awful things but also asks to be excused for what he has done.

Unlike the old Ye, he acknowledges that he is not perfect. Ye has done and said some awful things, but this should not take away from his music. He is extremely talented, but also has his flaws and these two things should be able to coexist without one needing to overtake the other.
