Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 ¾ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips *or the whole bag 😉
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- ¾ cup full-fat sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- ½ cup whole milk
- 1 ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Yields: ~ 12-14 regular-sized muffins or 6-7 jumbo muffins
Prep time: ~ 10 minutes
Cook time: 19 – 21 minutes
Instructions:
- Before starting, preheat oven to 425℉
- Place all dry ingredients in a bowl and mix until everything is even distributed
- Afterward, carefully add the wet ingredients and stir to combine until completely mixed
(Note: Batter will be naturally thick, be careful not to overmix batter as it will result in overly thick and sticky batter not optimum for baking)
- Once the batter is fully combined, scoop ¼ cup of batter into each muffin liner
- Place the muffin tray in the oven at 425℉ for 5 minutes and then lower the temperature to 350℉ for the remaining 14-16 minutes or until you can pull a toothpick out of the center of the muffins with no batter sticking to the toothpick
- Let muffins cool for 10 minutes before moving to a wire rack
- Enjoy
