Homecoming

The 2022 Wahconah Homecoming Semi-Formal dance was a huge success. The excitement began in the week leading up to October 15th with a spirit week planned by our school’s pep club, Tribe. We started Tuesday with mismatch day, followed by a pink day for Breast Cancer Awareness. On Thursday, students dressed up as something beginning with the first letter of their name. We did city vs. country to end the week and lead into the dance theme.

Friday night, the football team had a massive victory over Amherst. The student section dressed in camo or as “Campbell,” the Wahconah football coach. The school spirit throughout the week was the perfect leadup to the fantastic production put on by our student council and class officers. They transformed Mains Street into a place to “Dance the Night Away on Broadway.” With New York as the central theme, the decorations consisted of shiny balloons, NYC-themed cardboard cutouts, and disco lights. The school united in singing happy birthday to Mrs. Harrison, and the function ran smoothly.
